Belle is every little bookworm's favorite princess. She's adventurous, compassionate, and just. She was definitely my favorite growing up, and she still has a place in my heart. She stands up to the horrid Beast (a cursed prince who had a volatile temper) and puts him in his place. She is one princess who is not afraid of overbearing male figures. I think she got all her good traits from her adorable father, Maurice (a rare father figure in the Disney renaissance films).
