  • CC walnut- fold the eye in half taco-style, and SC the sides together [16], CH2, turn
  • Be sure to tuck the ends or tails inside the eye before closing up.

Snout 

  • Start with stone- CH9, SC in the 2nd CH from the hook, 5SC, 3SC in CH1, 6SC in the opposite side of the foundation chain, INC in the last stitch. [18]
  • INC, 6SC, INC 3X, 6SC, INC 2X [24]
  • SC, INC, 6SC, (SC, INC)3X, 6SC, (SC, INC)2X [30]
  • 2SC, INC, 6SC, (2SC, INC)3X, 6SC, (2SC, INC)2X
  • FO, leave a long tail to be sewn.

Nose 

  • Start with walnut- CH7, SC in the 2nd CH from the hook, 3SC, 3SC in CH1, 4SC on opposite side of foundation chain, INC in the last stitch. [14]
  • INC, 4SC, INC 3X, 4SC, INC 2X [20]
  • FO, leave a long tail to be sewn. 
  • Sew the nose onto the snout, then embroider a side smirk with the same tail. 
  • Tie off and keep the remaining tail short and hidden behind the snout. 

Ears (2)

  • Start with stone- MC, 6SC
  • INC, 6X [12]
  • FO, leave a short tail to be tucked away later.
  • Repeat with walnut, but do not FO
  • Place the stone piece in front of the walnut, and crochet them as follows: SC, INC, 6X [18]
  • FO, leave a long tail to be sewn.

Feet (2)

  • Start with stone- CH10, SC in the 2nd CH from the hook, 6SC, 3SC in CH1, 7SC in the opposite side, INC in the last stitch [20]
  • INC, 7SC, INC3X, 7SC, INC2X [26]
  • 9SC, (SC, INC)3X [29]
  • CC walnut- 7SC, (SC, INC)3X, 7SC, (2SC, INC)3X [35]
  • 7SC, (2SC, INC)3X, 7SC, (3SC, INC)3X [41] 
  • 41SC for 3 rounds
  • 3SC, place a stitch marker here; this is the start of a new round.
  • 20SC, (DEC, 5SC)3X [38]
  • 20SC, (DEC, SC)6X [32]
  • 20SC, DEC6X [26]
  • Stuff the foot. 
  • *Do not FO, but see below for both right and left feet.

Right Foot

  • 10SC, CH1, turn
  • 11SC, CH1, turn
  • 10SC, CH1, turn
  • 9SC, CH1, turn
  • 8SC, CH1
  • SC down the rows, across the other side of the foot, and up the other side of the rows. 
  • FO, leave a long tail to be sewn. 

Left Foot

  • Repeat the foot pattern until (*)
  • 22SC, CH1, turn
  • 11SC, CH1, turn
  • 10SC, CH1, turn
  • 9SC, CH1, turn
  • 8SC, CH1
  • SC down the rows, across the other side of the foot, and up the other side of the rows.
  • FO, leave a long tail to be sewn.  

Assembly

  1. Sew the belly patch on.
  2. Sew on the arms.
  3. Sew the feet on.
  4. Sew the snout on.
  5. Sew the eye on.
  6. Sew the ears a finger away from the eye on either side.
